E-Commerce Assistant

Our client is a fast-growing UK-based importer and distributor of high-quality textiles and homewares. Their products are supplied to major retailers such as Amazon, Debenhams and TK Maxx, as well as directly to customers through online platforms. With a strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and efficient fulfilment, they are expanding their team to support continued growth in the e-commerce space.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Team Member to join a busy online operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that both B2B orders (to platforms like Amazon, Debenhams and TK Maxx) and direct-to-consumer orders are processed smoothly, accurately, and on time. The successful candidate will assist in day-to-day e-commerce operations, order fulfilment, customer service, stock control, and online marketplace administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage online orders from platforms such as Amazon and Debenhams and our own e-commerce store.
  • Coordinate order dispatches to retailers and directly to end customers.
  • Liaise with couriers and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Producing reports to help to Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and replenishment.
  • Support product listings updating descriptions, images, and pricing as needed.
  • Respond to customer queries via email, chat or e-commerce platform messaging systems.
  • Handle returns, refunds and customer service cases efficiently and professionally.
  • Assist in compiling sales and performance reports from online channels.
  • Identify and escalate any issues affecting order flow or customer experience.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in an e-commerce, retail, or fulfilment-based role preferred.
  • Familiarity with online marketplaces such as Amazon Seller Central, eBay, or similar.
  • Understanding of direct-to-consumer fulfilment and customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good computer literacy comfortable using Microsoft Business Central, Excel, order management systems, and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience working with 3PLs or warehousing systems.
  • Knowledge of Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Understanding of product data optimisation (keywords, SEO, etc.) for e-commerce.
  • An interest or experience in AI and Image P/M
