About the job Controller (Healthcare)
Arkansas Talent Group is excited to be partnering with one of Little Rock's premier specialty healthcare clinics to help them find a Healthcare Controller (Financial Administrator) who will oversee the financial operations of this award-winning multi-entity clinic organization. The Controller will have strong experience in managing finances across multiple entities, a deep understanding of sales and use tax compliance, and accounting experience in a healthcare environment. What You Will Do:
- Oversee full-cycle financial operations including payroll, AP/AR, banking, reconciliations, retirement funding, and GAAP-compliant financial statements to ensure accuracy, fiscal health, and data-driven decision-making across multiple clinic entities.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, partnering with leadership from both entities to support financial planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure financial efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
- Complete monthly production reports and oversee production processes.
- Oversee unallocated payments and payment reconciliation.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local sales and use tax regulations by accurately managing all filings, remittances, and reporting deadlines.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service issues to ensure alignment with goals and compliance.
- Serve as a liaison for credentialing, patient billing, vendors, and business associates.
- Oversee patient billing and inventory management.
- Handle sensitive legal and financial matters with discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail, in a fast paced, highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrate a proactive, self-directed approach to resolving challenges, adapting to shifting priorities, and supporting organizational growth.
What You Will Have:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, including experience in a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of multi-entity accounting and financial management.
- Proven experience with sales and use tax compliance and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (preferably QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing and insurance processes preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
