Arkansas Talent Group is working with a small firm of 15+ employees in Little Rock for a Tax Manager. This is a dynamic and growing small firm specializing in providing comprehensive tax and accounting services to a diverse clientele. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join their team, with the potential for partnership. This individual will be mentored and have one on one training by the Founding Partner to take over this individual's clients and work. This is an incredible opportunity to grow to Partner and potential ownership in the near future!

The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the firm's tax practice, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services to our clients. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of tax codes, and a passion for client service. The ideal candidate will have the potential to grow into a partner role within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Planning:

  • Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client savings.
  • Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.

Client Advisory and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert tax advice and addressing their tax-related inquiries.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and cross-sell the firm's offerings.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Review and approve work prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 5-8+ years of experience in tax preparation and planning.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
