About the job VP of Revenue Cycle Management (Clinic)
Arkansas Talent Group is working on an Exclusive Role for our client's next Vice President of Revenue Cycle. The Vice President (VP) of Revenue Cycle will oversee and lead the end-to-end revenue cycle management process, ensuring optimal financial performance, compliance, and operational efficiency. This executive role requires strategic leadership to drive improvements in billing, collections, and cash flow while maintaining adherence to healthcare regulations. The VP will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage technology, and mentor a high-performing team to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive revenue cycle strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market trends.
- Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient access, billing, coding, collections, denials management, and reimbursement processes.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as denial rates, days sales outstanding (DSO), and clean claim submission rates. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, coding guidelines, payer requirements, and other legal standards.
- Technology Integration: Identify and implement advanced technologies to streamline processes, enhance accuracy, and improve user experience.
- Collaboration: Partner with clinical, financial, and operational leaders to align revenue cycle practices with broader business objectives.
- Data Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to monitor performance trends, drive decision-making, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a team of revenue cycle professionals. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management within healthcare or related industries.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale operations involving commercial payers, Medicare/Medicaid billing, and reimbursement processes (25+ employee management required in a multi-clinic/state environment).
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, coding standards (e.g., ICD-10), and payer relationships.
- Experience leveraging technology such as Electronic Health Records (EHRs), billing platforms, and analytics tools.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams and drive results.
