Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with one of Arkansas Largest Companies in the state to help them find a Senior Financial Accountant for their organization. Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and have a lot of communication with leaders all throughout the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of the accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial reporting operations, including journal entry processing, financial statement analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Produce supporting schedules and analytics to aid in financial decision-making
  • Conduct accounting research as needed and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
  • Oversee the monthly closing process, adhering to established timelines
  • Maintain and update the general ledger chart of accounts, evaluating requests for new cost centers and accounts
  • Contribute to the preparation of forecasts and budgets
  • Support external audits and mandatory reporting requirements, including financial audits, tax/governmental reporting, and industry surveys
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • CPA certification highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably 2+ in corporate or public accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of bank reconciliation and cash accounting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
