About the job Senior Internal Auditor (SOX) - Hybrid
Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively working with an Arkansas-based, global leader in their industry to help them find a Senior Internal Auditor in Little Rock, AR to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. The Senior Internal Auditor will play a key in carrying out the company's SOX compliance testing program and optimizing the internal control structure. Reporting to the Internal Audit Senior Manager, the position will collaborate with senior leaders, internal stakeholders, audit co-source partners, and the independent accounting firm.
Duties will include:
- Ensure SOX compliance by coordinating control testing, identifying deficiencies, and driving timely remediation efforts
- Prepare SOX reports and presentations for management
- Document and perform walkthroughs of key processes, risks, and controls
- Prepare process memos and position documents that articulate risk, control, and action plans
- Evaluate internal control design and operational effectiveness using established internal audit testing techniques
- Provide front-line insights to design and perform comprehensive internal audit plans
- Help develop, communicate, and monitor control and process improvements
- Help prepare key stakeholder insights, progress reports, and results with clarity
- Collaborate and guide the co-source team
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of external or internal audit experience
- Demonstrated accounting knowledge
- Preferred: SOX audit, manufacturing, CPA/CIA/CISA/CFE, NetSuite, AuditBoard/Workiva
- Integrity, ethics, confidentiality
- Analytical, detail-oriented, organized
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
