About the job Associate Internal Auditor - Hybrid
Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively partnering with an Arkansas-based, global leader in their industry to find an Associate Internal Auditor to join their internal audit team in Little Rock, AR. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to internal audit practices while supporting compliance initiatives, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing.
Reporting to the Internal Audit Senior Manager, the Associate Internal Auditor will be responsible for executing SOX-related audit activities, including control testing, documentation, and communication of results. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, co-source partners, and the external audit firm.
Duties will include:
- Support the execution of the companys SOX compliance program
- Perform walkthroughs of key business processes to understand control design
- Test internal controls for design and operating effectiveness
- Identify control deficiencies and assist in tracking remediation efforts
- Prepare clear, well-documented workpapers and audit evidence
- Summarize findings and assist in developing reports and presentations for management
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of process narratives and risk control matrices
- Coordinate with co-source partners and external auditors as needed
- Stay informed on SOX compliance requirements and industry best practices
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of external/internal audit experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
- SOX experience preferred, but not required
- CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE certification (or progress toward certification) is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high ethical standards
- Analytical, detail-oriented, organized
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively

This job will be based in Little Rock, AR and offer a hybrid work environment after introductory period. Ideal candidate will be based locally. Relocation may be considered for exceptional candidates.
