Arkansas Talent Group is searching for an experienced Controller to oversee our clients' multi-division financial operations and lead their accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
  • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
  • Develop and monitor budgets, conduct financial forecasting, and perform variance analyses
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization
  • Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial management with company goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA Required
  • Required: 11-15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management
  • Required: 5+ years of experience in a Controller position
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team of accounting professionals
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels
  • Ability to travel within Arkansas every two weeks
