Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively working with a large technology company in Little Rock, to help them find a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for their team. FP&A Manager will lead a financial planning and analysis team and is responsible for supporting decision making across the company through analysis and reporting. FP&A Manager will oversee maintaining company frameworks, overseeing financial analysis, oversee annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and business evaluations for the company.

Main Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership and Strategic Support

  • Serve as a key financial advisor to the executive team and various departments, offering expert guidance through comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and industry trend assessments. Provide critical insights on operational results, capital expenditures, and potential financial impacts of proposed business initiatives

Integrated Business Planning

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of a cohesive business planning framework, encompassing: Long-term strategic planning, Annual budgeting processes, Regular forecasting activities
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and thorough documentation of assumptions. Oversee the creation of strategic financial statements and manage the consolidation of budgeting and forecasting data. Present in-depth analysis of consolidated results to senior leadership.

Capital Management

  • Design and execute a robust capital management system, including: Capital budgeting procedures, Expenditure tracking and monitoring, and Reforecasting processes
  • Establish standards for capital investment evaluation and maintain reporting mechanisms to track actual expenditures against authorized budgets. Flag discrepancies requiring management attention

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Oversee performance analysis against budgetary targets and administer management reporting systems. Conduct consolidated cost analysis for facilities, projections, and ad-hoc requests from senior management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for: Budget and forecast development, Variance analysis and explanations, Financial evaluation of proposed capital investments, Custom financial analyses as needed

Systems and Process Optimization

  • Act as the business owner for budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting systems. Develop and refine reporting frameworks and templates to meet both standard and ad-hoc requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support M&A activities, including financial evaluation of potential transactions
  • Lead and contribute to special projects as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 Section 404

This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on analytical skills to drive informed decision-making and support the company's growth objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, preferably Finance or Accounting
  • 10+ years of financial planning and analysis experience, preferably from Fortune 500 company
  • 3+ years of management experience and leading and FP&A team
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis
  • CPA / MBA is preferred
  • Strong communication skills: ability to story tell the data to management and work with multiple department heads
  • Strong technical skills in large ERPs, Modeling Software, and advanced Excel
