Accounting Specialist

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a rapidly growing Telecommunications Company in Conway, AR to help them find an experienced Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable processes and a proven ability with general accounting functions. An accounting degree is preferred, but candidates with at least five years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments; verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies; prepare and record journal entries related to A/P transactions.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other accounts; investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial records.
• Accounts Receivable: Generate and send invoices to customers; monitor and follow up on outstanding balances; record customer payments and maintain accurate A/R records.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for audits and compliance.
• General Accounting Support: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes; provide support for special projects and initiatives; respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required; minimum of five years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping if no degree
