Senior Accountant

Arkansas Talent Group is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our booming client's team. In this role, you will oversee financial operations for large construction projects, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis to support decision-making and project success. Job Responsibilities

• Manage job costing for complex construction projects, including categorization, recording, analysis, and monitoring
• Develop, implement, and maintain construction management systems, including setting up projects, budgets, job costs, cost codes, contracts, change orders, and purchase orders
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards
• Oversee project billings, ensuring compliance with contracts and timely collections
• Monitor project budgets, process vendor invoices, and maintain awareness of financial health
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues
• Ensure proper allocation of costs to expenses or betterments for construction assets
• Prepare special financial analyses and reports as requested by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3-4+ years of experience in general accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, recons, and GL
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate Excel
