About the job Small Business Controller (Family Office)
Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively working with a successful Entrepreneur in Little Rock, to help him find a Small Business Controller for his rapidly growing businesses. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Small Business Controller to oversee the financial operations of multiple diverse entities that include: a real estate holdings company, construction company, large farm, duck hunting club, and convenience stores. The ideal candidate will have expertise in full charge accounting and the ability to manage complex financial portfolios across various industries for the Family Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full charge accounting for all business entities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular cash flow analysis to ensure optimal financial health across all businesses
- Generate comprehensive P&L reports for each entity
- Assist in financial planning and budgeting for existing businesses and new ventures
- Provide strategic financial advice to support business growth and expansion
- Coordinate with external CPAs for tax planning and preparation
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards, including GAAP
- Manage accounts payable and receivable across all entities
- Oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements for all businesses
- Oversee all administrative work and vendor management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, but experience can trump
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in accounting, multi-entity experience working with multiple companies and inter company transactions
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Expertise in accounting software and financial management systems, QuickBooks knowledge preferred
- Strong experience in cash flow management, full charge bookkeeping, P&Ls, and financial statement analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities to interact with various stakeholders
- Strong understanding of tax implications for various business structures
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting
- Adaptability to work with different business models and industries

- Heavy hybrid, position can mainly be remote, but candidate must live in Central Arkansas as some administrative needs and errands will need to happen - Office will be located in WLR
