About the job Tax Accountant (Investment Firm)
Arkansas Talent Group is excited to partner with a Family Office / Investment Firm in Little Rock to find a Tax Accountant for their team. This is an opportunity to work with a distinguished team in Little Rock and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing financial strategies.
Duties would include:
- Efficient Tax Return Management: Lead the tax return process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to stringent deadlines and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and accurately prepare tax documentation.
- Assistance with Tax Audits: Support the organization during federal and state tax audits by providing comprehensive documentation, conducting internal reviews, and liaising with auditors to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintenance of Tax Basis Schedules: Oversee the development and maintenance of tax basis schedules for partnerships, meticulously documenting transactions and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and accounting best practices.
- Year-End Tax Estimate Preparation: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare year-end tax estimates for partners, leveraging your analytical skills and tax expertise to provide accurate projections and facilitate proactive tax planning strategies.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline tax processes, enhance efficiency, and mitigate risk. Implement best practices and leverage technological tools to optimize tax-related workflows and drive operational excellence.
- Thorough Review of Financial Statements: Scrutinize financial statements with a keen eye for tax implications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Proactively identify potential areas for optimization and risk mitigation.
- Conduct In-depth Financial Analysis: Utilize your proficiency in financial analysis to dissect complex data sets, identify key trends, and generate actionable insights. Present findings to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Flexibly respond to evolving business needs by undertaking additional duties and projects as assigned by management, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Accounting
- 1+ year of experience in tax accounting
- Experience in Great Plains and ProSystem is a plus
- CPA or aspirations to complete CPA is a plus
