About the job Financial Analyst
Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst with a strong background in data analysis to support our clients' manufacturing operations. This role will focus on financial analysis, system automation, and leveraging operational data to provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience with NetSuite, Power BI (highly desired), and advanced Excel skills, but the client is willing to train if you have the interest and desire! Accounting knowledge with a finance-focused mindset is important. This position is open to new graduates with internship experience as well as entry/staff Analysts with 2-3+ years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support manufacturing operations.
- Develop and automate systems and reporting processes utilizing NetSuite and Power BI to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze operational data to generate ad hoc reports for leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Utilize intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, financial modeling, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and accountin,g to gather and analyze data relevant to financial performance.
- Support the month-end close and financial statement preparation as needed.
- Assist in continuous process improvements by identifying automation and reporting opportunities.
- Apply accounting principles with an emphasis on financial analysis and manufacturing cost control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Internship or 2-3+ years of experience in financial analysis with exposure to data analytics preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with NetSuite ERP system is highly desired.
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a strong advantage.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles with a focus on financial analysis.
- Experience or interest in manufacturing industry preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- System automation experience.
- Experience translating operational data into impactful business insights.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and performing ad hoc analyses.
