Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our client's manufacturing facility in Albany, OR. The Human Resources Manager plays a critical leadership role managing all human resource functions at the site while ensuring compliance with Oregon state and federal employment laws. The professional focuses on employee relations, workforce development, training program oversight, recruiting, and performance management to foster a positive, safe, and productive workplace culture.

Duties will include:

  • Manage and oversee all Human Resource functions for the site
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, working to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee the hourly work system including position level advancement
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Partner with L&D Team to identify training needs and evaluate programs
  • Evaluate and monitor the success of training programs, and follow-up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Lead recruiting efforts by collaborating with hiring managers and partner with Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective staffing and selection processes

Ideal candidate will possess:

  • An associate or bachelors degree is preferred or equivalent experience
  • SHRM/HRCI certification preferred
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including HR leadership 
  • Must have HR experience in a Manufacturing/Industrial environment
  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements and Oregon state-specific employment laws
  • SAP SuccessFactors and ADP experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead hourly recruitment efforts and partner with hiring managers on hiring strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems impacting people, processes, and program issues, along with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
