Arkansas Talent Group's Executive Search Division has been hired on a retained basis to help a large Private Equity backed Manufacturing Company in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to find a Corporate Controller over all US operations.

The Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing the full scope of accounting and financial operations for the company's U.S. and North American business segment. Supporting approximately $500M in annual revenue across three manufacturing facilities, this role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, drives compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements, and leads a high-performing accounting organization.

As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Controller will partner with operations and executive leadership to support business growth, enhance systems and processes, and lead the accounting workstream of a phased ERP implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and the monthly/quarterly/annual close process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and timely resolution of audit requests.
  • Oversee tax compliance requirements (federal, state, local, and sales/use tax) in collaboration with external advisors, including preparation of tax provisions.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets and support company policies.
  • Serve as the accounting lead for the phased ERP implementation, collaborating with IT and operations to design, test, and streamline workflows.
  • Drive process improvements to build scalable financial systems that support growth.
  • Collaborate with leaders in operations, supply chain, and FP&A to provide financial analysis and insights that drive operational and profitability improvements.
  • Support strategic and transactional initiatives including M&A, purchase accounting, and integration.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a strong accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting / Masters degree preferred
  • CPA highly preferred required
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles within manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Private Equity experience is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and proven success leading external audits
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Infor SyteLine or similar), with demonstrated success in ERP implementations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
