About the job Controller/CFO
Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established, industrial manufacturing company Little Rock, AR to identify an experienced Corporate Controller / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its leadership team.
This is a key financial leadership role with responsibility for the company's accounting and finance functions while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting foundation combined with the ability to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, and overall financial strategy.
This opportunity is also part of the organization's long-term succession planning. The company is looking for someone who can learn the business, build strong relationships throughout the organization, and ultimately provide long-term financial leadership.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the company's accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Manage cash flow, treasury activities, banking relationships, and overall liquidity
- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts and projections to support business planning
- Analyze financial performance, trends, margins, expenses, and key metrics to identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
- Provide financial insight and strategic guidance to executive leadership to support key business decisions
- Oversee risk management, regulatory compliance, and other financial requirements of the organization
- Support strategic growth initiatives, including business development and potential acquisition opportunities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
- Partner with operational leaders across the organization to improve financial performance and accountability
- Oversee payroll, tax, cost accounting, and other financial functions as applicable
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting, processes, and overall efficiency
What You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3+ years in a Controller, Director of Accounting/Finance, or similar leadership role
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Strong financial reporting and financial statement analysis experience
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, cost management, and P&L oversight
- Proven experience leading and developing accounting and finance teams
- Strong knowledge of risk analysis and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and improving financial processes, controls, and reporting
- Knowledge of tax accounting, cost controls, and supply chain finance
- Strong business acumen, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level and partner effectively across the organization.
