We are recruiting for a long-established, co-educational English-medium school located in the Salmiya district of Kuwait City. Established in 1980, the school delivers a broad and balanced British curriculum from Kindergarten through to Year 12, leading to IGCSE, AS, and A Level qualifications.

Job Summary
The school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join its teaching team from January 2026. This role is suited to a teacher who is passionate about music education and able to inspire students through both classroom teaching and performance-based learning.
The successful candidate will contribute to a vibrant music programme that supports musical skill development, creativity, confidence, and student wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
The Music Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality music lessons aligned with the British curriculum, supporting students in developing musical understanding, practical skills, and appreciation across a range of genres and traditions. Teaching will include elements of listening, performing, composing, and music theory, adapted appropriately to different age groups.
The role includes preparing students for performances, assemblies, concerts, and school events, and contributing actively to the co-curricular music programme. The teacher will assess student progress using a range of formative and summative strategies, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reporting and parent-teacher meetings.
Collaboration is central to the role. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and the wider life of the school. Upholding safeguarding, behaviour, and equality policies is an essential part of the role, alongside fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should hold a Bachelors degree in Music or a related discipline, together with a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE or B.Ed. A minimum of three years relevant teaching experience within a British curriculum or international school setting is required.
The school is seeking a teacher with strong subject knowledge, confident classroom practice, and excellent communication skills. Experience preparing students for performances and extra-curricular music activities is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Salary & Benefits
The school offers a tax-free monthly salary, negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Teachers are provided with free, fully furnished single accommodation, with utilities included, or may opt for a housing allowance of KWD 150 per month. Teachers relocating with families may access a two-bedroom apartment for KWD 90 per month, subject to availability. Residential facilities include access to a gym and swimming pool.
Complimentary two-way school transportation is provided for the first three months of employment, with continued service available thereafter at a subsidised cost of KWD 20 per month.
The benefits package includes an initial flight from the teachers home country, an annual return flight during the summer holiday, and a return flight at the end of the contract. Medical coverage is provided through government health insurance for the first two years, followed by private medical insurance from the third year onwards.
Teachers are eligible for a 100% school fee discount for up to two children, subject to management approval. The school also offers reimbursement of visa-related expenses up to KWD 100, upon submission of valid receipts.
Working Conditions
The contract is offered for two years, renewable by mutual agreement. The academic year consists of approximately 177 teaching days. Working hours are 07:10 to 14:40, Sunday to Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays designated as weekend
