About the job English Language and Literature Teacher
Secondary English Language & Literature Teacher (IB MYP/IGCSE/IB DP)
Location: Milan, Italy
Start: August/September 2025
We are representing a leading international school in Milan seeking an energetic, curious and collaborative English Language and Literature teacher for Middle and High School. This role focuses on English Language & Literature within IB MYP, IGCSE and ideally IB Diploma. It is not an ESL/EAL position; applications focused on ESL will not be considered.
The role

Teach English Language & Literature across Middle and High School, including IB MYP and/or IGCSE, with the ability to teach IB Diploma Language & Literature an advantage.

Plan engaging, inquiry-driven lessons, assess learning effectively and provide clear feedback.

Contribute to curriculum development and standardisation across the department.

Work collaboratively with colleagues in a multilingual, multicultural environment.

Support the wider life of the school through pastoral care and co-curricular activities.
Candidate profile

Degree in English or a closely related field.

Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, BEd, state licensure).

Recent, successful experience teaching MYP and/or IGCSE; IB Diploma experience strongly preferred.

Skilled classroom practitioner: organised, reflective, and motivated by challenge.

Values international education, student inquiry and project-based learning.

Confident working with multilingual learners; strong communication and team ethos.
