Situated in South West Jakarta, the campus offers outstanding facilities that support academic excellence, innovation, and wellbeing. Individuals & Societies is a key academic area within the Secondary School, supporting students to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and an understanding of global economic and social systems.
The Role
Following an increase in student enrolment, the school is seeking a Teacher of Individuals & Societies (Economics) to join the Secondary faculty from August 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach IB Diploma Economics at Standard and Higher Level, alongside delivering inquiry- and concept-based learning across Economics and Business within the IB MYP, particularly in Years 10 and 11. In addition to classroom teaching, the role includes acting as a form tutor within the Secondary School (Years 7–13), supporting students academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.

The Teacher of Individuals & Societies (Economics) will plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven lessons aligned with IB philosophy, supporting students in developing economic reasoning, analytical skills, and an understanding of real-world business and economic contexts. Teaching will encourage students to evaluate contemporary global issues using data, theory, and multiple perspectives.
The role involves assessing student progress using a range of formative and summative strategies, providing timely and constructive feedback, and supporting students through internal assessments and external examination preparation at Diploma level.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues within the Individuals & Societies faculty and across the Secondary School, contributing to curriculum planning, moderation, and professional dialogue. Participation in enrichment activities related to Economics or Business is encouraged.
