The area of Salmiya hosts numerous museums, mosques, an aquarium, a Scientific Center, IMAXX movie theaters, football stadium, medical centers, a Roman Catholic Chapel, the district passport office ("Jawazat") and a well-equipped park beside the 5th Ring Road.
