Role Overview:

Sancta Maria is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Spanish Teacher to teach Middle and High School students, across the Cambridge curriculum and potentially the IB Diploma Programme. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a passion for language education, capable of inspiring students to build fluency, cultural understanding, and confidence in Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Spanish to students in Grades 6 - 12, following the Cambridge curriculum and IB standards
• Plan and deliver interactive, student-centered lessons that build vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and conversational skills
• Create a classroom environment that fosters inquiry, enthusiasm, and cultural appreciation
• Design and implement assessments that track student progress and inform instruction
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including IGCSE and IB Diploma exams
• Participate in school events, open houses, and language-focused activities or clubs
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and support interdisciplinary projects
• Provide regular feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents
• Contribute to the schools commitment to multilingualism and global citizenship
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, or related field required
• Teaching Qualification
• Experience teaching Spanish at middle and/or high school level preferred
• Experience with Cambridge or IB curriculum desirable
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Spanish and English
• Enthusiastic, student-focused, and culturally sensitive educator
