Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business and Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching at both IGCSE and A Level. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the subjects and a proven track record of student achievement within the British curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies and Economics across IGCSE and A Level courses.
• Design and deliver lessons that engage, challenge, and support students of varying abilities.
• Prepare students effectively for external examinations, using appropriate assessment strategies.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, maintaining clear and accurate records.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages independent thinking.
• Maintain excellent communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and enrichment programmes.
• Uphold the schools policies and values, including those related to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional conduct.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Business and Economics syllabi.
• Excellent classroom management and subject delivery skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support a range of learners.
• Culturally sensitive and eager to contribute to a diverse school community.
• Committed to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.

• Monthly Salary: TAX FREE salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

• Or Housing Allowance of KWD 150/month.
• Teachers with families may access a 2-bedroom apartment for KWD 90/month.

• Free two-way school transport for the first 3 months.
• Continued service available for KWD 20/month thereafter.

• Initial joining ticket from home country.
• Annual summer return ticket and return ticket at the end of contract.

• Government health insurance for first two years.
• Private health insurance from year three.
• School Fee Discounts:
• 100% discount on tuition fees for up to two children (subject to management approval).
• Visa Reimbursement:
• Up to KWD 100 for visa expenses in home country (upon submission of receipts).

Working Conditions

• Contract Length: Two years, renewable by mutual agreement.
• Working Days: Approximately 177 teaching days per year.
• Working Hours: 07:10 AM to 02:40 PM, Sunday to Thursday.
  Fridays and Saturdays are weekends.
