We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IB Individuals & Societies (I&S) Teacher with a specialism in History to join a dynamic international school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP). This role is ideal for a teacher passionate about fostering critical thinking, global awareness, and interdisciplinary learning in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach IB MYP Individuals & Societies (I&S) and IB DP History, ensuring an inquiry-driven and concept-based approach.
  • Develop and deliver lessons that integrate global perspectives, historical inquiry, and interdisciplinary connections.
  • Support students with Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) discussions where applicable.
  • Use a variety of assessment strategies to measure student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development, ensuring alignment with IB standards and philosophy.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore social, political, and historical themes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and IB training to maintain best teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary projects to enhance student learning.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, State License or equivalent international certification).
  • Proven experience teaching (min 2 years) IB MYP Individuals & Societies and IB DP History.
  • Strong understanding of IB curriculum frameworks, assessment strategies, and inquiry-based learning.
  • Experience in guiding students through Extended Essays (EE) and Internal Assessments (IA) is an advantage.
  • Passion for fostering a global perspective and analytical thinking in students.
  • Ability to incorporate technology, research methods, and innovative teaching strategies in the classroom.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
