Physics Teacher

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable High School Physics Teacher to join a vibrant educational community for an August 2025 Start. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching physics to students, ensuring they develop a deep understanding of physical principles and how they apply to real-world phenomena.

The school, founded in 2016, is a K-12 international school located at the foot of the picturesque and historic YuQuan Mountain, Haidian District in Beijing. The campus is 200,000 square meters of beautiful gardens that integrate natural ecology, cultural heritage, and modern beauty with 140,000 square meters of green space.

The school curriculum is organized into the Elementary School, grades K-5, the Middle School, grades 6-8, and High School, grades 9-12. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Educations nine-year compulsory education program, the curriculum is built on the strength from both Chinese and western education.

For Elementary and Middle School, the school follows a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum.
For High School, the school follows the US Common Core and College Board AP curriculum and also offers the UK IGCSE and A-Level UK programs.

Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree from an accredited university
- Bachelor of Education, PGCE, Teaching license: QTS, national/state teaching license/certificate or equivalent
- Three years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous physics lessons aligned with the schools curriculum, covering topics such as mechanics, electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics, waves, and modern physics.
• Guide students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills through hands-on experiments, lab work, and real-world applications of physics concepts.
• Design and implement formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress, understanding, and mastery of physics concepts.
• Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance instruction, including simulations, data analysis software, and online resources.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, scientific inquiry, and student engagement.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and academic performance.
• Prepare students for external exams, such as [Specify Exams: AP Physics, IB Physics, or national/state standardized tests], as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to ensure consistency and alignment in teaching practices and curriculum across grade levels.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming projects.
• Stay current with developments in physics education, including new teaching strategies, curriculum trends, and advancements in science.
• Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
