Role Overview:

Sancta Maria is looking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Librarian to lead the development of its library services and promote a reading culture across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate information specialist to work in a vibrant, student-centred international school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the school librarys physical and digital collections
• Foster a culture of reading and independent learning across all age groups
• Support students and teachers in accessing appropriate resources for research and inquiry
• Organise reading programmes, author visits, book clubs, and literacy events
• Maintain an effective cataloguing and inventory system
• Guide students in developing information literacy, research, and referencing skills
• Assist with academic honesty education and provide resources aligned to IB and Cambridge standards
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate library resources into classroom learning
• Ensure a welcoming, well-organised, and inclusive library environment
• Supervise library use and enforce policies for appropriate use of materials and space

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Library Science (B.Lib/M.Lib)
• Previous experience in a school or academic library
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proficiency with library management software and digital research tools
• Familiarity with international school environments or curricula an advantage
• Passion for books, research, and supporting lifelong learning
