We are working with an outstanding international school that is seeking a passionate and experienced Middle School Science Teacher to join their team. This role involves delivering engaging and interactive science lessons to students in middle school years, fostering scientific inquiry, and supporting students in developing a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the [curriculum framework].
- Engage students through practical experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world applications.
- Use a variety of teaching methodologies, including technology-enhanced learning and STEM integration.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific literacy among students.
Assessment & Student Development
- Regularly assess student progress using both formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Support students in preparing for internal and external examinations.
Collaboration & School Engagement
- Work collaboratively with science department colleagues to develop and refine the curriculum.
- Contribute to extracurricular science activities, such as science fairs, robotics clubs, and environmental initiatives.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and school-wide events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Education, Humanities, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, State License) with recognized certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience teaching experience.
- Experience with international students and/or in an international school setting is a strong advantage.
