French & Spanish Teacher - Primary and Middle School

About the School: Our client is a vibrant international school located in the northern part of Brussels, near NATO headquarters and numerous multinational companies. Established in September 2022, the school has quickly grown into a diverse community with over 20 nationalities represented among approximately 200 students. Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary & Middle School French & Spanish Teacher to teach students from early years through Grade 8. The ideal candidate will have a passion for language learning, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to create interactive and engaging lessons tailored to different age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach French & Spanish to Primary and Middle School students (Grades 1-8), focusing on language acquisition through immersive, communicative methods.
• Develop age-appropriate lessons that incorporate songs, games, storytelling, role-playing, and interactive activities to encourage fluency.
• Differentiate instruction to support students of varying language proficiency levels.
• Foster a love for languages and cultures by integrating Francophone and Hispanic traditions, literature, and cultural events into the curriculum.
• Use inquiry-based and experiential learning strategies to make language learning engaging and relevant.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language learning across subjects where possible.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support language development.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular language activities, including language clubs, international celebrations, and cultural immersion events.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in French, Spanish, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of three years teaching French and Spanish at the Primary and/or Middle School level, preferably in an international or bilingual setting.
• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in French and Spanish, with strong English communication skills.
• Skills:
• Experience with differentiated instruction and early language acquisition strategies.
• Strong classroom management and ability to create an engaging, supportive learning environment.
• Creative use of technology and interactive teaching tools to enhance language learning.
