Demand Planning Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Demand Planning Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning and forecasting, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Los Angeles, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain demand forecasting models for various product categories

- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately predict future demand

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and incorporate relevant data into forecasting models

- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for adjustments based on demand forecasts

- Identify and implement process improvements to increase forecasting accuracy and efficiency

- Communicate demand forecasts to production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure alignment and efficient planning

- Lead monthly demand planning meetings to review and adjust forecasts as needed

- Prepare and present reports on demand forecasting and inventory levels to management

- Stay informed on industry trends and changes in market demand to proactively adjust forecasting models

- Train and mentor team members on demand planning best practices and processes

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficient in demand planning software and Microsoft Excel

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

- Team-oriented mindset with a proven track record of leading and developing team members

- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles is a plus
