Waking Nights Support Worker – Complex Care

Horsham RH12 | 2–3 Nights Per Week | From £14.95 per Hour

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Waking Nights Support Worker to support an intelligent and engaging young man with complex care needs who lives in his own home in Horsham.

Due to his health condition, he is cared for in bed and requires dedicated overnight support. He enjoys good conversation, sports, gaming, TV and especially cooking programmes, and we're looking for someone who will take the time to get to know him and provide compassionate, high-quality care throughout the night.

You'll work 2 or 3 waking night shifts per week, typically from 7pm/8pm until 6am.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect
  • Administering medication
  • Monitoring his wellbeing throughout the night
  • Responding to his care needs as required
  • Supporting a safe, comfortable and positive environment

Full specialist training will be provided.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caring, reliable people who are passionate about making a difference.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in care, support work, healthcare or a similar role
  • A compassionate, patient and person-centred approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • A full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport
  • The right to work in the UK (please note that visa sponsorship is not available)
