From your base in the Hong Kong office, you will have exposure to engagements across a variety of countries such as: Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and reach as far north as China & Japan or as far south as Australia and NZ.

The role

As a Managing Consultant / Associate Director, you will typically be leading a team of consultants to deliver positive outcomes for our clients.

You will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of client projects on a day-to-day basis, taking ownership of the overall project and the project outcomes. This requires working closely with clients, often onsite at the client, and guiding the case team to ensure successful delivery of impact through the project. Whilst you'll work closely with others within the team, you will also be expected to be able to operate autonomously with little direction.

Client engagements can relate to all aspects related to procurement and supply chain value delivery, including (but not limited to):

  • Procurement transformations optimise procurement strategies & operating model through diagnostics, design & implementation.
  • Savings programmes identification & delivery of tangible savings for clients.
  • Supply chain optimisation enhance the supply chain operations.
  • Sustainable procurement understand and address sustainability opportunities & challenges across the supply chain, such as Scope 3 decarbonisation, responsible sourcing, circular economy & modern slavery
  • Capability development upskill the capabilities of clients through structured learning pathways

These engagements can cover a wide range of industry sectors including, amongst others: FMCG, Advanced Manufacturing, Financial Services, Infrastructure, Private Equity, Agri, Pharma, Energy, Telco and Technology.

The Managing Consultant will work with a wider team to achieve excellence in client value and will be measured by project delivery utilisation and output, as well as contribution and support for sales activity, revenue generation, ongoing growth, renewal of contracts and repeat work.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience of successfully leading and delivering high-paced strategic projects that deliver tangible results within Asia, either through leading procurement teams in industry or doing so whilst working for a Consulting company.

For you to be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate a strong track record in:

  • Project delivery: leading complex projects from start to finish, delivering successful project outcomes on-time and on-budget.
  • Client relationship management: managing, building and growing relationships with clients through effective communication and engagement skills, managing expectations, identifying and solving issues, and influencing decisions
  • Procurement expertise: Previous procurement and supply chain experience, ideally assisting clients who have complex, corporate environments on topics such as savings delivery, procurement transformation, capability development, contract management, leading major negotiations, supply chain optimisation, etc.
  • Leadership skills: Demonstrated leadership skills within a team environment, whilst also showing an ability to work with people at all levels in an organisation; Coaching & mentoring junior team members of project output development and delivery.
  • Linguistics: Fluency in English, both written & oral. Fluency in additional Asian languages preferred (Bahasa, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai in particular)

It should be noted that Managing Consultants are required to be willing to travel and engage with our clients onsite.
