ArcBlue is searching for an exceptional Managing Consultant - Probity and Independent Procurement Advisor to join our growing team of procurement professionals.

The successful candidate will deliver advisory projects to ArcBlue clients across Australia, with the potential to support projects across Asia Pacific. You will be located within a daily commute to our Brisbane office and will be excited by the idea of using your 20+ years experience to deliver authoritative advice across Procurement policy and frameworks, Procurement execution, Procurement capability and broader financial and organisational Governance. You will be someone who has extensive hands on Practical Procurement experience and may come from either a Contracts or Legal background and have significant experience working across both Goods & Services as well as Infrastructure Procurement.

As a Managing Consultant - Probity and Independent Procurement Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and transparency of procurement processes for our clients. You will leverage your expertise to provide strategic guidance on probity matters, ensuring compliance with best practice and legislative requirements. You will work closely with clients across both the private and public sectors, ensuring that all procurement processes are conducted ethically, fairly, and in line with all relevant guidelines.

You will support a full pipeline of probity and procurement clients, ensuring that each project is executed with the highest levels of probity and governance. When probity work is light, you will lean into your broader consulting skillset, supporting our procurement consulting pipeline by engaging in various advisory services, project management, and strategy development. This will allow you to maintain a dynamic role while contributing to the overall growth and success of ArcBlue.

Key Responsibilities

Probity and Procurement Advisory Services

  • Provide expert probity advice to clients on procurement processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Review and provide guidance on procurement documents and strategies to ensure integrity and fairness throughout the process.
  • Develop and implement probity frameworks for clients to ensure transparency, accountability, and best practice.
  • Advise on risk management strategies to mitigate conflicts of interest, bias, and other ethical concerns within procurement processes.
  • Conduct probity audits and reviews to assess the fairness and transparency of ongoing and completed procurement projects.
  • Procurement experience in Goods & Service and Infrastructure.
  • Contemporary understanding of probity practice and knowledge of emerging trends in probity practice. Identifies opportunities to strengthen ArcBlues probity practice and potential service innovations.

Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a full pipeline of probity clients, ensuring ongoing communication and understanding of their probity and procurement needs.
  • Advise clients on how to manage probity risks and implement appropriate governance structures.
  • Lead client meetings and discussions, providing expert advice and recommendations on probity-related issues.
  • Influence client decision-making, ensuring procurement processes are conducted with the highest ethical standards.
  • Address and resolve potential issues related to procurement integrity, offering ongoing support and solutions.
  • Identify opportunities in probity clients for broader ArcBlue support services, such as procurement capability development and training, governance or framework support.

Team Relationships

  • Support our experienced Director group in enhancing ArcBlues probity capability, ensuring consistency across service delivery, fostering a stronger internal culture of probity awareness, and exploring innovative service offerings
  • Collaborate with colleagues across ArcBlue to deliver exceptional client outcomes, ensuring that probity considerations are integrated into all projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise in probity best practices.
  • Work cohesively with project teams to support the successful delivery of procurement projects while ensuring compliance with probity standards.
  • Support peers and contribute to the continuous improvement of probity processes and methodologies within ArcBlue.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in procurement or advisory roles, with a strong focus on probity and ethical procurement practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex probity-related issues in large-scale procurement projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant probity, governance, and compliance frameworks, ideally within both the public and private sectors.
  • Ability to support a full pipeline of probity clients, while adapting to changes in workload and leaning into broader consulting efforts when required.
