We are seeking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to join a lean startup organization focusing in growth within the contract logistics space.

This role is based in Shanghai, reporting to the Head of Sales/Business Development.

What you can look forward to:

  • You are part of a small & vital international team who internationalizes the group company in new markets & customer segments.
  • You execute an active sales strategy to generate and develop leads for the company to development approach and internationalize its business model & customer base.
  • You will be responsible for proactive new business development of Asian customers into the company's extensive European network using traditional & digital sales means.
  • You will position the company as the local service provider of choice for Asian/ Chinese companies operating in Europe while being an active part of the Chinese business community in China.
  • You are responsible for a clear marketing approach within the target group to enhance the awareness for the brand.
  • You will be responsible for providing market insights and feedback to management and stakeholders on market and industry developments

What characterizes you:

  • Degree in business administration/economics/engineering or a comparable qualification with a focus on sales.
  • You have a proven track record in sales or key account management; preferably in contract logistics/ supply chain management with minimum 5 years experience
  • You gained first experiences about European businesses and markets.
  • You have an open mindset that enables you to adapt to a wide variety of discussion partners
  • You have knowledge in proactively identifying, developing and finalizing new development opportunities.
  • Having a business network /build up new relationship in the industrial sectors Electronics/consumer product, Fashion, Industrial communities
  • Running sales initiatives, manage prospects supported by the company's solutions teams and operational units
  • You have a very good command of Chinese and English.
