General Job Duties: The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the general operation of Community Day Services. They are responsible for the organization and operation of various day services, including the management of staff who are providing those services.

Essential Functions:

  1. The Coordinator will oversee the following in relation to staff: ensure services are being properly conducted, earned time, scheduling, monitoring community involvement, staff evaluations as appropriate, staff disciplinary action as appropriate, ensure staff attend appropriate trainings, ensure staff documentation is appropriate, staff in-services.
  2. The Coordinator will participate in trainings in accordance with Alabama Department of Mental Health and agency standards and additional trainings as assigned.
  3. The Coordinator will ensure monthly documentation, including progress notes, are completed and delivered to the appropriate designee by the required deadline.
  4. The Coordinator will assist with the following:
  • Participating in annual habilitation meetings as needed.
  • Review monthly progress notes and overseeing the clients progress on training objectives.
  • Ensuring that Direct Support Professionals/Community Support Professionals carries out the habilitation plan training objectives.
  • The Coordinator will complete requisitions as necessary for individual program involvement
  • The Coordinator will assist Directors with program development as necessary.
  • The Coordinator will approve supply requisitions by program staff before forwarding to the Directors.
  • The Coordinator will serve as liaison with the community, acting, as needed, as community relations representative, client advocate and agency advocate. This could include speaking on behalf of the agency as appropriate.
  • The Coordinator will assist with special duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • The Coordinator will report all progress of the program and persons served to the Directors.
  • The Coordinator will conduct and attend staff meetings as necessary in order to ensure program delivery and development.


Hours: Monday- Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, Hours may vary


Qualifications:

4-Year Degree in a human services field of intellectual disabilities and demonstrate expertise in supervision/administration.
