GOVERNMENT RELATIONS OFFICER (GRO)

Location: Dammam / Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose

The Government Relations Officer is responsible for managing the company's regulatory compliance and all interactions with Saudi government authorities. The role ensures the company maintains full operational compliance with labor, immigration, and licensing requirements while supporting smooth mobilization of manpower and business operations across Saudi Arabia.

The GRO will play a critical role in preventing regulatory violations, resolving government-related issues, and maintaining the company's legal standing with all relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all employee-related government transactions including work permits, iqama issuance and renewals, sponsorship transfers, and exit/re-entry visas.

Maintain company compliance across all government platforms including employment registration, Saudization status, and labor contract approvals.

Monitor the companys regulatory status and ensure the organization remains compliant with Saudi labor laws and government requirements.

Maintain all company registrations and official licenses including Commercial Registration, Chamber of Commerce membership, and other statutory approvals.

Liaise with relevant government authorities to process approvals, resolve administrative matters, and address regulatory issues affecting company operations.

Support manpower mobilization for projects by coordinating visa issuance, employee documentation, and regulatory approvals.

Monitor company Saudization (Nitaqat) status and coordinate corrective actions when required.

Maintain accurate records of all government transactions and employee documentation.

Provide guidance to management on regulatory updates and government requirements affecting company operations.

Coordinate document attestation, approvals, and official submissions with government authorities.

Requirements

Minimum 5–7 years experience as GRO in Saudi Arabia

Demonstrated experience handling government transactions for contracting, industrial, or EPC companies

Strong understanding of Saudi labor law, immigration procedures, and government administrative systems

Proven ability to manage company compliance requirements and resolve regulatory issues

Strong government relations network within the Eastern Province

Ability to handle complex government procedures and administrative problem solving

Fluent Arabic and English

Valid Saudi driving license

Saudi National

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience supporting companies operating in:

  • Jubail Industrial City
  • Aramco contractors
  • SABIC / refinery contractors
  • Large industrial projects

will be strongly preferred.

Salary Range

SAR 7,000 – 9,000 per month
