Role Description

This is a part-time (or full-time if possible) remote role for a Speech Processing Scientist at Aralects, and will give the person the opportunity to be work alongside field experts, add interesting work experience to their CV, and be part of an amazing team that is committed to creating a killer product!

We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience in both Arabic NLP, Deep Learning, and developing (Arabic) text-to-speech (TTS) and speech-to-text (STT) models.

The ideal candidate has experience in modern Python (specifically, with the PyTorch library), Arabic NLP, speech processing, and is passionate about clean and scalable code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience of Python programming experience.
• 2+ years of experience of PyTorch experience (projects, etc.).
• 1+ years of speech processing experience.
• Preferably 1+ years of experience of Arabic NLP experience.
• Has research experience (familiarity with deep learning and/or Arabic NLP research/literature).
• Is currently working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning or AI Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field.

Terms and Compensation

As an early-stage startup, joining us now would entail equity (startup shares) and immediate monetary compensation to be negotiated as part of a partnership agreement, taking into account limited monetary compensation before the receipt of our first round of investment.
