About Aralects:

At Aralects, we are building a language learning app focused on bridging the gap between Modern Standard Arabic and the diverse Arabic dialects. Although we're still in the early stages and are currently working towards our minimum viable product, we're using this time to kickstart our community-building efforts. Our goal is to foster a community of Arabic language enthusiasts and learners, bringing awareness to the intricacies of Arabic dialects and setting the stage for the apps future launch.

What You'll Be Doing:

We are looking for a passionate individual to help grow our community and curate engaging content. This role offers the chance to work on the following key areas:

1. Content Curation and Community Engagement:

• Develop and manage the blog section of our landing page by curating, editing, and/or creating weekly articles related to Arabic language learning and dialects.
• Network with contributors and establish relationships to build a consistent stream of blog content.
• Identify and integrate trending Arabic language content from social media and the web into our online presence.

2. Content Curation and Community Engagement:

• Brainstorm podcast topics, research speakers, structure episodes, and collaborate with our production team to create engaging episodes.
• You'll have the flexibility to experiment with hosting if it aligns with your interests.

Who You Are:

We're looking for someone with:

• A strong passion for the Arabic language and interest and stronger than average knowledge in its dialectal diversity.
• A knack for community building and content curation.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Comfort with networking and outreach to contributors.

Role Details:

• Location: Remote
• Time commitment: ~10 hours weekly
• Compensation: Since we are still an early-stage startup and still in the process of building our minimum viable product, the compensation package will come in the form of immediate/monthly monetary compensation, and potential equity (shares in the company) if the candidate shows value, is in it for the long term, and is showing signs of taking ownership of the product.
