Operations Director/ Senior Operations Manager

Our client, a leading international exhibition organizer, is seeking a strategic and high-performing Operations Director/ Senior Operations Manager. Reporting directly to the executive management, this role will fully lead the operational strategy, venue negotiations, and on-site execution for flagship large-scale international trade exhibitions.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute master operational plans, floor logistics, and timelines for mega-scale international trade shows.
• Act as the primary liaison to secure premium venue resources and commercial terms with major convention centers in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
• Oversee the bidding, selection, and performance management of official tier-1 contractors (stand builders, freight forwarders, registration vendors).
• Establish and monitor the master operations budget to minimize waste and optimize show profit margins.
• Enforce strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards and emergency contingency plans on-site.
• Manage and mentor the core exhibition operations and project management teams.

Requirements:

• University degree holder
• 10+ years in the MICE/exhibition organizing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role.
• Proven success directing on-site operations for large-scale trade shows
• Strong commercial negotiation skills, crisis management abilities, and deep familiarity with the vendor ecosystem in Greater China.
• Professional fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
