Our client, a well-established Medical Robotics corporation, to cope with the business expansion, they are hiring a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER with the following requirements:
Role Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the strategic growth and expansion of the company. They will lead the business development and marketing efforts, analyze market trends, monitor the competition, and establish plans to develop the company's business. The BDM will collaborate closely with the operational and R&D teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives within budgets and timelines while meeting targeted objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify potential clients and new business opportunities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to uncover trends, competitors, and customer needs
- Develop and present pricing, proposals, and strategic marketing/sales plans
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business
- Recruit, manage, and coach a high-performing sales team
- Negotiate contract terms and oversee the preparation of sales contracts
- Gather customer feedback and insights to enhance product development
- Effectively communicate the company's profile and offerings to prospective clients
- Ensure timely and quality support for existing customers
- Design and manage budgets for business development activities
- Optimize costs and resources to execute plans within budget
- Ensure compliance of sales team with company policies and procedures
- Organize team meetings, training programs, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Collaborate with R&D on new product development and enhancement
- Provide regular progress updates and recommendations to senior management
- Assist with research and development projects as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, finance or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a business development management role
- Proven track record in a pre-sales, sales, account management or business development function, preferably in the medical device or related industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
