Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the company's line maintenance operations at PUJ and SDQ bases, ensuring efficient and timely execution of maintenance activities in compliance with national and international aeronautical regulations, as well as internal company policies. Supports the proper allocation of technical resources, promotes operational safety, and facilitates effective communication among operational areas to ensure fleet reliability and continuity of operations. Monitors maintenance performance indicators, supports corrective action implementation, and contributes to compliance with quality and safety standards established by the Maintenance Management team, while promoting teamwork, professionalism, and operational discipline.

Key Accountabilities

Leadership

  • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment within the team, promoting effective communication and cooperation among maintenance personnel.
  • Support technicians and maintenance staff in the execution of daily operational activities, ensuring resources, information, and guidance are available when needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities and communicate operational updates, observations, and relevant information to supervisors and other stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance maintenance processes, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Participate in recurring meetings with supervisors and work teams to review operational priorities, progress, and maintenance-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements during line maintenance operations.
  • Assist in monitoring performance indicators and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventive actions when required.
  • Maintain effective coordination with internal departments to facilitate smooth execution of maintenance activities and aircraft availability.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor operational controls and performance indicators to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with established quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • Promote adherence to company procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support initiatives focused on operational excellence and process optimization.
  • Ensure maintenance activities at PUJ and SDQ bases comply with applicable aeronautical regulations.
  • Maintain accurate operational, technical, and personnel records in accordance with company requirements.
  • Participate in the implementation of operational improvement projects and departmental initiatives.
  • Escalate operational issues, incidents, or risks to the Maintenance Manager in a timely manner.
  • Foster collaboration between departments to achieve common operational objectives.
  • Support conflict resolution and effective communication within a dynamic operational environment.

Administration of Maintenance Technicians

  • Coordinate line maintenance personnel assignments to ensure appropriate workload distribution and shift coverage.
  • Publish and maintain shift schedules for technicians, assistants, and shift leaders according to operational requirements.
  • Support operational activities during exceptional situations when required while maintaining coordination responsibilities.
  • Coordinate manpower requirements for onboard technicians, special assignments, and AOG recovery activities.
  • Plan and coordinate technical staff vacation schedules according to operational needs.
  • Coordinate training and development activities with Human Resources, the Maintenance Manager, and other relevant departments.
  • Promote professional development, operational safety, and compliance with technical standards among maintenance personnel.
  • Prepare and submit overtime and incentive reports according to established processes and deadlines.
  • Coordinate and facilitate recurring meetings with shift leaders and maintenance teams.
  • Participate in maintenance and operations coordination meetings when required.
  • Promote compliance with company communication, image, and professional conduct standards.
  • Encourage effective communication, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders including MOC, Planning, Engineering, Technical Warehouse, Human Resources, and Flight Operations.
  • Act as a coordination point between maintenance personnel and support areas to ensure efficient task execution.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings to communicate maintenance requirements and operational priorities.
  • Support coordination with aeronautical authorities, suppliers, auditors, and other external stakeholders as required.
  • Assist in resolving operational issues through collaboration and effective communication.
  • Promote alignment across departments to support fleet operational continuity and departmental objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS 

Technical Maintenance Degree or Aeronautical Engineering Degree. 
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in aeronautical maintenance operations or line maintenance coordination. 
Knowledge of aeronautical regulations and maintenance best practices. 
Experience using Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) systems. 
Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills. 
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment. 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, Teams, and related digital platforms. 
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. 
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
