About the job Procurement Analyst – Strategic Sourcing
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and execution of sourcing strategies for high-value and strategic categories within the Procurement & Logistic team scope. The role focuses on supplier market analysis, cost optimization initiatives, competitive sourcing processes (RFP/RFQ), and negotiation preparation to support the Procurement Director and General Procurement Manager in achieving cost reduction and value creation objectives.
This position plays a key role in identifying savings opportunities, improving supplier competitiveness, and supporting the renegotiation of major contracts across corporate, commercial, and operational categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze sourcing opportunities across key spend categories within General Procurement.
- Support the development of category strategies aligned with company growth and cost optimization targets.
- Conduct supplier market research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis.
- Develop cost models and perform spend analysis to identify savings opportunities.
- Support RFP, RFQ, and tender processes for medium and high-value procurement initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional evaluation processes with internal stakeholders.
- Contract Renegotiation Support
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and contract optimization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with internal departments including IT, Commercial, HR, Finance, and Operations to understand sourcing needs.
- Provide procurement advisory support to internal stakeholders during supplier selection processes.
Procurement Analytics
- Maintain procurement dashboards and reporting on spend, sourcing initiatives, and savings achieved.
- Monitor supplier cost trends and market developments relevant to procurement categories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) is desirable.
Minimum Requirements
4–6 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain roles.
Experience managing RFP/RFQ processes and supplier negotiations.
Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and procurement analytics tools.
Experience in aviation, transportation, or highly operational environments is a strong advantage.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
