About the job Senior Sales Analyst
JOB PURPOSE:
As a Senior Sales Analyst, you will serve as the strategic architect and lead practitioner of sales business intelligence. You will be responsible for defining the BI roadmap, building high-impact analytical tools and reporting, and eventually leading a small team to optimize distribution channels and drive global revenue growth.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
BI Strategy
- Define and implement the Business Intelligence strategy for Sales, selecting the right tools and data structures to ensure "one version of the truth."
- Design and build automated, scalable dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) that the sales team can use for daily decision-making.
Advanced Analytics & Execution
- Perform deep-dive analyses on daily sales, channel performance, and market trends to uncover hidden revenue opportunities.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts and Python-based automation to streamline data collection and reporting.
- Provide "on-demand" strategic insights for the Sales leadership team to support high-stakes negotiations and trade partnerships.
Team Leadership
- Initially operate as a solo lead, with the responsibility of hiring, onboarding, and managing a Sales Analyst to expand the teams capacity.
- Set the standards for analytical excellence, ensuring all team outputs are accurate, actionable, and visually compelling.
Sales & Pricing Strategy Support
- Collaborate directly with Marketing and Revenue Management to design pricing strategies and promotional campaigns tailored to specific market segments.
Translate analytical findings into "commercial stories" for sales presentations and trade partner proposals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with internal departments such as Revenue Management, Marketing, and IT to align sales activities with organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Experience of 4+ years in a high-growth analytical role, with demonstrated experience in taking ownership of projects or mentoring junior staff.
- Strong desire to lead a team and build a department's analytical culture.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excel and Powerpoint a must.
- Advanced SQLAlchemy, Power BI/Tableau and Python a must.
- Demonstrated experience in Pandas, Numpy, Seaborn and Request.
