Revenue Accounting Analyst
About the job Revenue Accounting Analyst
Responsible for providing support to the Revenue Accountant in all aspects of the revenue accounting workflow. This will include tasks related to the reconciliation of all booking and in-flight related payments with banking receipts; providing assistance with the generation of monthly and year end revenue related general ledger postings; supporting Arajet front line Call Center and Airport colleagues with payment related queries.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Operational Excellence
- Participate in drafting accounting procedure manuals and suggests improvements that mitigate gaps and risk in the existing policies and procedures.
- Proactively, suggest and prepare end-user reports that facilitate the business with financial insights.
Operations
- Perform general and/or revenue accounting activities requiring some insight into the why as well as the how by applying accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions to provide professional financial support to the department and contribute to its overall effectiveness and efficiency as a key team member
- Reconcile revenue accounts and ensure that all control accounts balance with the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly financial reports in an accurate and timely manner which respond to user needs and support management decision making.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure that deposits and payments are rapidly and accurately recorded.
- Participate in financial audits by providing reports and explanatory data and information to support a positive audit outcome.

- Operate within the accounting and finance team, embracing teamwork to collectively achieve high performance standards in the execution of financial tasks.
- Takes ownership for self-development and knowledge sharing among peers to enhance know-how and overall performance within the team.
Regulatory and Other
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations where applicable in order to safeguard the company from any high-risk audit findings, regulatory breaches and company exposure with negative financial implications.
- Any other duties and accountabilities as assigned by the Revenue Accountant.
- Functions and Responsibilities in relation to SMS are:
- Comply with the Policies, Objectives and Requirements of the Operational Safety Management System,
- Actively participate in the Operational Safety Reporting System,
- Inform the Operational Safety and Risk Management of the dangers, accidents, incidents, unsafe acts, violations, deviations and unsafe conditions that are generated in the operation and maintenance work.
- Address and establish action plans to close non-conformities generated during the different audits scheduled by internal auditors.
- Receive, read and understand the information provided by Operational Safety and act in accordance with the given guidelines.
- Attend and approve the Operational Safety Instruction.
- Receive and answer the Operational Safety surveys designed by the Operational Safety and Risk Management.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics of Business Administration or relevant field – Postgraduate relevant Degree e.g. MBA desirable.
- Professional qualified accountant (CA/ACA/CPA/CMA/ACCA)
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant and developmental experience.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent standard of Spanish (written, conversational and comprehension).
- Proficiency in English (written, conversational and comprehension).
- Good computer literacy.
