VP of IT Infrastructure & Operations

The Vice President of IT Infrastructure & Operations is responsible for leading the organization's technology infrastructure, IT operations, service delivery, cybersecurity operations, cloud environments, network architecture, end-user support, and business continuity strategies. This role ensures the stability, scalability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems while aligning technology operations with business objectives and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute the IT Infrastructure & Operations strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead digital transformation and modernization initiatives across infrastructure platforms.
• Establish technology roadmaps for cloud adoption, automation, disaster recovery, and infrastructure scalability.
• Act as a key advisor to executive leadership on technology-related matters.

Infrastructure Management

• Oversee enterprise infrastructure, including data centers, cloud platforms, servers, storage systems, and networks.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of critical business applications and systems.
• Drive infrastructure standardization and optimization initiatives.
• Manage technology lifecycle planning, upgrades, and capacity management.

IT Operations & Service Delivery

• Direct all IT operations, including service desk, technical support, system administration, and monitoring functions.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and service management frameworks.
• Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management processes.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

• Partner with cybersecurity teams to maintain a secure IT environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and organizational standards.
• Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and crisis management plans.
• Manage infrastructure-related risk assessments and remediation activities.

Cloud & Digital Technologies

• Lead cloud strategy and migration initiatives across public, private, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and business performance.
• Promote automation, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Financial & Vendor Management

• Develop and manage the IT Infrastructure & Operations budget.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants.
• Ensure cost-effective utilization of technology resources and investments.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing infrastructure and operations teams.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing enterprise infrastructure and operations.
• Strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Deep knowledge of networking, systems administration, data centers, virtualization, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity frameworks.
