VP of IT Infrastructure & Operations
About the job VP of IT Infrastructure & Operations
Lead the planning, selection, development, deployment, implementation and maintenance of IT hardware and non-aviation related applications in order to enhance business processes and efficiency of flight and commercial operations, in line with Arajet's strategies and departmental objectives and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Support the CIO and contribute to the development of the IT strategy in line with corporate strategic targets.
- Develop and ensure the implementation of the IT hardware and (non-aviation related) applications strategy that supports the business objectives, in line with the overarching IT strategy and best practice.
Operational Excellence - Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of enterprise application systems, processes and practices taking into account 'international best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Review processes and identify inefficiencies and propose ways of improvement and mitigate risks.
Information Security
- Work with the IT Information Security to implement appropriate security measures for the hardware and software (non-aviation applications) in order to ensure data and asset protection.
Stakeholder Management
- Work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solution and engage stakeholders with no direct authority over them by establishing trust-based relationships with colleagues across Arajet to act upon the proposed approved by management implementation plans.
- Communicate effectively based on concrete data with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner, to instigate discussions for workable solutions.
- Collaborate with internal customers and technology teams to influence project prioritization and dependent organization's roadmaps by contributing to their planning documents and goal setting exercises.
- Perform as a business resource with technology partners and internal stakeholders, external business partners, vendors, and suppliers.
- Develop strong professional relations with project teams, business sponsors, and stakeholders and collaborate with them to identify business requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Master's Degree in business or a technological field is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant and developmental experience as an IT Engineer out of which at least five years of experience in managerial roles.
- Experience working for airlines is a plus but is not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with customer-centric mentality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills to oversee and manage vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent standard of Spanish (written, conversational and comprehension)
- Proficiency in English (written, conversational and comprehension).
