Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technical Writer with a strong mechanical engineering background to develop product update bulletins, parts bulletins, and safety bulletins. The ideal candidate should have experience in technical documentation, illustration, and model rendering, along with proficiency in Teamcenter, CMS tools (SDL Tridion/Oxygen Editor), and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical bulletins (Product Update Bulletins, Parts Bulletins, Safety Bulletins) in compliance with standards.
- Create and maintain parts structures in Teamcenter and ensure data quality.
- Generate and update illustrations using Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop.
- Perform 3D model rendering for components and assemblies using Siemens NX.
- Analyze and interpret Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for documentation updates.
- Ensure technical content is aligned with Simplified Technical English (STE) standards.
- Work within a CMS environment (SDL Tridion/Oxygen Editor) for structured content management.
- Maintain and improve data quality for components and subsystems in Teamcenter and allied systems.
- Document processes for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of mechanical components, their functions, and significance.
- Hands-on experience with Teamcenter and assembly structures in parts manuals.
- Ability to understand and document relationships between mechanical components and systems.
- Good understanding on Aftermarket catalogs and spare part catalogs.
- Knowledge of engineering change processes (ECN) and STE standards.
- Familiarity with mobile machinery, hydraulic components, engine, transmission, compressor, and other mechanical elements.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Siemens NX for illustration and rendering.
- Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
