Job Title: Azure Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL Server. The role involves owning end-to-end data ingestion and transformation workflows, ensuring high data quality, performance, and operational stability in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related Azure services
• Build, optimize, and maintain SQL Server data models, queries, and stored procedures with a focus on performance and reliability
• Implement ETL / ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across data pipelines and storage layers
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune pipeline performance using logs, alerts, and operational metrics
• Automate data workflows and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure Logic Apps, or similar tools
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and platform teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support integrations with external data platforms (e.g., BigQuery – nice to have)

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert-level SQL with strong hands-on experience in SQL Server

• Performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, stored procedures

• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, including building and managing production-grade pipelines
• Solid understanding of ETL / ELT patterns, data orchestration, and integration strategies
• Experience with structured data modeling and data processing concepts
• Experience using version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices for data solutions
• Ability to automate workflows using PowerShell, SQL scripts, or Azure Logic Apps
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

Form of employment: Full-time until further notice, we apply 6 months probationary employment.
