Job Title: Senior Technical Recruiter (Team Lead)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Technical Recruiter (Team Lead) to drive our engineering and product hiring initiatives while mentoring a growing team of talent professionals. In this "player-coach" role, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting for our most critical technical roles while stepping up to lead, train, and guide junior recruiters and sourcers.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven talent advisor who deeply understands the technology landscape, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about building diverse, high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full-Cycle Technical Recruiting (Player)

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for senior and niche technical roles (e.g., Software Engineering, DevOps, Data Science, SRE, Product Management).
  • Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to engage passive talent using advanced techniques (e.g., Boolean, GitHub, StackOverflow, X-Ray searching).
  • Conduct in-depth technical screens to assess candidates' technical baseline, behavioral competencies, and cultural add.
  • Act as a trusted talent advisor to engineering leaders—providing market intelligence, compensation insights, and strategic guidance on hiring best practices.
  • Manage the offer process, including compensation structuring, complex negotiations, and closing.

2. Team Leadership & Mentorship (Coach)

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of technical recruiters and/or sourcers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s, set performance goals, and provide actionable feedback to help your team achieve their hiring targets.
  • Act as an escalation point for recruiting bottlenecks and help the team strategize on difficult-to-fill roles.

3. Strategy, Operations & Data

  • Track, analyze, and report on key recruitment metrics (e.g., Time to Fill, Pass-Through Rates, Source of Hire) to hiring managers and executive leadership.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) in our hiring processes, ensuring diverse talent pipelines and inclusive interview practices.
  • Optimize the use of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruiting tools.
  • Drive continuous process improvement to enhance the candidate experience and streamline interview workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience: [5-7+] years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, preferably within a high-growth tech company, startup, or specialized agency.
  • Leadership: [1-3+] years of experience leading, mentoring, or formally managing a team of recruiters/sourcers.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of modern technology stacks, programming languages, and engineering frameworks. You can comfortably "talk tech" with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Sourcing Expertise: Proven track record of sourcing and engaging highly sought-after passive engineering talent.
  • Data-Driven: Strong ability to leverage data to influence hiring decisions, forecast pipelines, and optimize recruiting processes.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholders up to the C-suite level.
  • Empathy: A strong commitment to delivering a transparent, respectful, and world-class candidate experience.
