DZ Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods within Ontario, ensuring compliance with all provincial regulations. This role requires a valid DZ driver's license, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation: Safely operate DZ-class vehicles, including straight trucks and dump trucks, to transport goods to designated locations within Ontario.
• Compliance: Adhere to all transportation laws and regulations, including hours of service and weight restrictions.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, bills of lading, and any other required documentation.
• Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service to clients during pick-ups and deliveries, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Safety: Follow all safety protocols, including the proper securing of loads, and report any incidents or accidents immediately.

Qualifications:

• License: Valid DZ driver's license.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating DZ-class vehicles.
• Driving Record: Clean driving abstract with no major violations.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items, and sit for extended periods.
• Certifications: Completion of a recognized driver training program is preferred.
