Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Embroiderer to join our team. The Embroiderer will be responsible for creating custom designs on fabric using embroidery machines or hand-stitching techniques. This role requires precision, creativity, and familiarity with embroidery patterns and techniques. The ideal candidate has experience in textile or fashion production and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embroidery Production: Operate embroidery machines or use hand-stitching techniques to create designs on various types of fabric, following provided patterns and instructions.
- Design Customization: Read and interpret design specifications, adjusting patterns as needed to meet customer requirements.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed embroidery for accuracy, consistency, and quality, making any necessary adjustments or corrections.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on embroidery machines, including cleaning and threading, and report any technical issues to the supervisor.
- Material Handling: Prepare fabrics and embroidery threads, select appropriate materials, and manage supplies to prevent shortages.
- Inventory Management: Track thread, fabric, and other embroidery materials to ensure adequate stock levels and efficient workflow.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols when handling embroidery equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as an Embroiderer or in a similar role in textile, fashion, or custom design industries.
- Skills: Proficiency in operating embroidery machines and/or skill in hand-stitching techniques; knowledge of design software for machine embroidery is an asset.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for detail to produce precise and high-quality embroidery work.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work with hands for extended periods, with strong fine motor skills and visual acuity.
