Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. The General Labourer will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including manual labor, site maintenance, and assisting skilled trades workers as needed. This role requires physical stamina, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate is punctual, adaptable, and has experience working in a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual Labor: Perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and moving materials or equipment.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the worksite clean and organized, including disposing of waste and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Assisting Trades Workers: Support skilled trades professionals, such as carpenters, electricians, or plumbers, by handling materials, holding tools, and providing general assistance.
- Basic Repairs and Tasks: Perform simple repairs, maintenance, or assembly tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report hazards or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic machinery or tools (if trained) and perform routine maintenance on tools or machinery.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role in construction, warehousing, or general labor is an asset but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and commitment to following all safety regulations.
- Certifications: WHMIS Certification (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and First Aid Certification are preferred or may be required in certain industries or provinces.

- Teamwork: Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Time Management: Punctual and reliable, with good time-management skills to meet daily tasks and goals.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
