Senior Financial Controller, APAC

Our client, a multinational hedge fund, is looking to hire a Senior Financial Controller to join the APAC Corporate Accounting team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the APAC CFO and contribute to the formulation of financial strategies and initiatives for the region.
• Oversee the finance department, ensuring accurate financial and regulatory reporting, corporate accounting, and compensation accounting.
• Establish and maintain robust controls, processes, and systems for APAC financial operations to protect assets and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional finance team, providing coaching and development opportunities to cultivate finance talent.
• Collaborate with the global finance team to adopt and implement best practices across the organization.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 15 years of Finance / Accounting experience in financial institutions, hedge funds, investment management, or securities firms
• Holder of CPA or CA certification
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and experience with regulatory reporting for SFC, MAS, and JFSA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high energy level and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to ethical standards, along with a proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders.
